The registry holds public records of accessibility work performed on websites. Each record shows its status, the standard it was tested against, the partner that filed it, and its complete history.

What a record tells you
A record is filed by an approved remediation partner when a website owner engages them to fix accessibility problems. It moves through defined statuses, and it expires unless the work is completed and retested.
Remediation on record
An audit is complete and remediation is under way. The record expires after 120 days unless a retest is filed.
Verified
Remediation is complete and the site passed a retest against the stated standard. The record runs for a fixed term and must be re-verified to renew.
Lapsed
The record passed its expiry date without a retest or renewal. Lapsed records stay public, with their history.
If you saw a badge on a website
A registry badge links to the website's public record page. If the page shows a current status, the badge is backed by a record. If it shows "No record on file" or "Lapsed", it is not.
If you fix websites for a living
Remediation firms that meet the partner criteria can file records for the websites they work on. Filing is free. Every entry is public and carries the partner's name.
